💥 Sidecarcross goes to USA 🇺🇸 💥 Team Van Werven - Beunk has just announced about their upcoming team trip to America. Team will train on different circuits around California. Follow Sidecarteam van Werven to see all the updates from their trip! Read the official statement here 👇🏻 "DREAM BIG - GO BIG! They say: dare to dream. We, as a team, had a dream too and put a lot of effort into it. What started with some ideas, quickly changed into real plans. And now – after a few months – these ideas have been converted into a travel schedule. The dream will come true. Many teams have this item on their bucket list, including the Van Werven team. Namely: riding in the United States of America. For team Van Werven it will happen and it will happen in a few weeks. This idea came up last August and we reached out to TM-importer Ralf Schmidt, who lives in the United States. This importer was interested in buying one of our TM sidecars, so that they could ride a TM sidecar on the circuits of California too. This interest switched over into reality and in October the sidecar was transported by plane to the United States. After that, Gert and Peter were asked to come over to the USA to share their experience and basic skills of sidecar racing with them. In addition, they both get the chance to use the sidecar over there to do training sessions in preparation for the 2020 season. “An unique opportunity and experience that is offered to us. You do not come often on the other side of the world for racing, and not at all – with a sidecar.” says an enthusiastic Gert. Besides this unique experience, they also see this as a piece of market expansion for the TM importer in the USA. With this step they can show, that the brandmark TM also occurs in the world of sidecarcross. And after a few years of development on the TM engine, we can say we have seriously developed a real new power source for sidecars. We also see this trip as a promotion for the sport and in particular as an extension of the sidecar sport in the USA. The guys are going to ride on one of the most famous circuits of California, named Glen Helen. At this circuit there will be made various photos and video records, created by MotoCross Action. In the second weekend Gert and Peter will be participating in another race at the Honolulu Hills Raceway Circuit. There will probably not be that much of competition, but we see this as a nice invitation and super opportunity for promotion the sidecar sport. However, Gert and Peter won’t be travelling alone to this immense country, a few team members and their families joining this journey. Gert explains: “You can imagen there is nothing more beautiful, when we are able to share such a dream, such an experience with your own team. We spend a whole sidecarcross season with each other and everyone contributes to the team in their own way. We all spent all our vacation days and every free hour for the sport. With this way we also spend our vacation days for the cross, but we will combine riding during this trip with a bit of sightseeing and travelling." At the end of January the team will fly to Los Angeles and will travel around California for two weeks. The most important thing of the entire trip is to have some sidecar training for several days on various circuits and to alternate this with some sightseeing in and around Los Angeles and visiting a supercross. We are enthusiastic and looking forward to it - hopefully you too!"
